A village that almost stopped.

Paradise Village was built in the early 2010s as a small residence of the village on the western hills of Koh Samui. The location was — and still is — extraordinary: 45 metres up above Nathon, looking out over the Five Islands and Ang Thong Marine Park. On a clear evening, the sunset reaches from horizon to horizon.

For several years, the village was managed by a rotation of caretakers who never quite made it theirs. Furniture wore thin, hot water heaters failed one at a time, and the shared pool grew a bit greener than it should have. Guests still came, and still left five-star reviews about the view — but the bungalows themselves had drifted a long way from what the owners built them to be.

In early 2025 the owners came to Mr Property Siam and asked, essentially: can you save it?

We said yes. Then we spent a year proving it.

A new engine, same soul.

Over eighteen months, working alongside the owners and a rotating crew of Thai builders, electricians and interior craftspeople, MPS took each bungalow apart and put it back together. New AC compressors, rewired kitchens, replaced roofing, refinished teak, new mattresses, new linens, new outdoor showers where they made sense. The shared pool was drained, retiled and re-plumbed. The road up got its potholes filled.

We didn't try to make it luxury. Paradise Village was never a luxury property, and pretending it was would have been dishonest. It's a village of standard bungalows, in a location that isn't standard at all. What we changed is the reliability — the hot water works, the wifi is fast, the pool is blue, the staff is trained. What we kept is the feeling — the birdsong, the sunset, and the sense that you're a long, kind way up.

What's new, what's coming.

The restaurant opened this year — LOST · Hillside Kitchen & Bar, in the pavilion above the shared pool. A short, honest menu of Thai favourites and Western comfort food. Craft cocktails, a proper bar, pool table, live sports TV, and a mini mart for everything you forgot to pack. Non-guests welcome; staying guests get 15% off.

The hillside gym opens in the third quarter of 2026 — heavy bag, kettlebells, pull-up rig, and the whole Gulf of Thailand as your mirror. Complimentary for staying guests. A bamboo playground and proper on-site parking are in design for 2027 (renders are on the wellness page). We'll roll each thing out only when it's genuinely ready.

And MPS?

Mr Property Siam manages more than 80 villas across Koh Samui and the wider Gulf. We do this the same way for every property — hands on, systems in place, staff who are paid well and stay. Paradise Village is the first project where we've been given the room to rebuild an entire village. It's been the most rewarding one.
